Moving On

You took away my sorrow
and took away the pain
but my tears fell from upset
and now they fall again

I've lost a love I pushed away
to save my self from hurt,
But now your gone I miss you so
and your memory will remain

It was a rocky path we rode
It was so full of strain
you challenged me on every count
and led me down dark lanes

But now to rest your body lies
as tears and cries do wain.
I will remember laughter
to keep me strong and sane

May I move on now ?
May I be free ?
From the shackles placed upon my wrists
from the hold you had on me.

This will be a turning point
and now my eyes will see
the future I will embrace
and form my destiny
For this is my time
the time set aside for ME !

I keep on losing you
and I don't know why
and when I'm with you I make you cry

What will it take to get your trust,
I ain't just in for the short term lust

Will you wait until I'm free.
Will you be lonely without me.

I cant believe I stoke your flame
you are to me a complex game.

Although I wonder I feel my fate
for dawn will bring my true soul mate.

It was the day when the world did end
the day that I went round the bend

...I couldn't think about a thing
I Just heard bells going ding a ling ling

My mind was lost
As I stared away
Was it night or was it day ?

Zombified I had become
but at least my mood was no
longer glum.

All the world does celebrate
the dawn that brings the new year date


All agree it will be this year
where change will bring a life of cheer


Where hope will replace despair
and all thats good will fill the air

As the weeks do pass away
don't let those hopes fade along the way


Just take your lot with a pinch of salt
so the taste of life won't disappoint.

So fear not the days that come
for those who strive will overcome.

Such cutting words of love that's lost
encased my heart in a piercing frost

Broken in a lifeless way
Oh I dwell on waisted days

If one can love and show such warmth
what changed this to a love that's torn ?

We Joined in quests of passing pleasure
but this you split with your sole endeavour

Breathless from the tears of shock
the mind does race it runs a mock

Friends so close will help me cope
