Forever and a Day

Will I hear the sound of your beating heart when my eyes close forever

Will I feel the warmth of your touch 

as my soul drifts on its way. 

As I transcend from your loving breast will I take the memories we made together.

As we laugh as we dance and make love in the sun

Time bound are our earthly pleasures as they are destined to end one day

But I will wait until you join me in the place where I do go

And when you finally come I’ll be waiting as you know 

For death will not separate our entwined hearts 

It will not tear us apart

For destiny is the key which will guide us like a dart

And on this thought I hang my hopes and when you’re on your way 

Our hearts will again dance eternally 

For ‘forever and a day’. 

The Devil Devours

Desperate dimensions possess me,

I fear of what’s within.

As demons tear at my soul,

I’m tainted by my sin.

I try so hard to be godly

But temptation reigns supreme

I try to balance my desires 

But addiction claws me in 

As I conquer the sin that taints me

and when I feel that I will win 

A web of gold is offered 

And from weakness I give in

With my will so weak 

I find excuses, 

That knock me off the path

It’s so easy to give in, than resist a chain of whims 

Deadly are the consequences 

I need to change today 

So I can fight the evil force 

That makes me act this way

So let this be a warning, to all you innocent meek

The devil is always seeking

to devour the sweet and weak
