Poem of the week

AQUAINTANCES

They come and they go
friend and foe.

Many people you will meet
in work and play
but time will wash away the good times
and hide away the bad.

But when you lose your memories it
surely makes you sad.

"I'll keep in touch"
is the cry
but daily deeds dictate
that such an intended promise will soon evaporate

So when you wonder
where and what was the fate of that forgotten mate
just call them and remember

Tommorrow is to late.

Poem of the Week

The Snake

Snake in the grass
Snake in the tree
What you would give to have legs like me.

You slither and slide along the deck,
You'd love to see further with a long stout neck.

"Hiss" is your call it warns of your presence
You don't really care whether you scare or deter.

Snake in the grass
Snake in the tree
If you'd not tempted Eve just think where you might now be !

Poem of the Week

Red Light

Lady of the night
I see your clothes so tight
beneath the glowing light
you offer your delights

Poem of the Week

GIFTED LOVE

Take my heart and hide it
don't let it fade away

Take my spirit and guide it
don't let it play away

Take my love and own it
don't let it fly away

Oh,just keep me in your thoughts
my beaming sunlight ray

Poem of the Week

Wash Out

Wet grass alas the July scorn
Umbrella world from dawn to dawn

Serve one and dash the drops of rain
as Wimbledon flops once again

A rainbow in the clouded sky
brings hope of courts so damp and dry

Appear the warriors ready to die
in sole pursuit of a winning tie.

(No longer applies to Centre court)

Poem of the Week

"MORK" THE PRINCE OF ALL CATS

You show me that your hurting
I see it in your eyes
Your fate is etched upon your face
Time has drifted time wont wait

Look back on all the highs
The bright and sunny days
For your lot has been so precious
You've helped me through my days
You'll always be in my memories
until my dying day.

Goodbye my friend.

Poem of the Week

Twinkle of Twilight

Your heart is hotter than the sun so bright
Your smile singles out each ray of light
Your friends elate at your sparkling sight
As you dance all day and into the night
With every move you express delight
For only you can excite and ignite
‘The Twinkle of Twilight’
